Obviously, I can’t keep place names in my head. As you can plainly see on this page, Mikie and Xavier are heading into O-Coco now… which, if you read last week’s description, would imply that they’re moving backwards… Does it really matter? Aside from my failing memory of my own book, I suppose it doesn’t.

Xavier has a throw-away line here quoting the old saying, “Expect the unexpected”. When I first started drawing the Beoples in their own comic, it was called “Levi’s World”, which I wasn’t in love with then, and still feel is a little “trite”. Anyway, there for about 5 minutes I was going to call the strip “The Unexpected”, because I knew then (in 7th grade or age 12) that Levi’s World was a “weak” title… But hey, there you go. A long reason for one line of dialogue that doesn’t matter much.

Curious how Blaurok and the Tords got ahead of our heroes. I guess we did establish that Blaurok was some kind of lesser god back on his home planet. The Doats did smash him into the ground off of a skyscraper, so maybe he just bounced that far out.

I’m thinking about this FAR too much… 20 years after the fact…

Things are wrapping up quickly! Stay tuned.
