SQUIT! Poor little dude. One of the most violent things I drew in these books was this little guy’s on-screen death. He almost looks like an early version of my “Logo”, Guilt-Bug.
I can’t beat myself up too much for this page, but I sure want to. Early art is sometimes painful for an “artist” to revisit. We see all the ways we should have done a certain thing, and every single shortcut is visible to our eyes. This is the work of a VERY young Levi. I can’t fault him for not knowing how arms work, or perspective, or camera angles, or any number of things I could point out. I got “better” over the years… skill-wise. However, I’ve become progressively “worse” over the years when it comes to the youthful ENERGY and DRIVE that this “Younger Me” displayed. Anyway…
