I never throw out drawings, or character ideas. Like, ever. Because of this, here’s Beatrice. A character that a classmate and I came up with one bored day in 10th or 11th grade English class. We’d draw these back and forth “Battle” comics. They were simple things usually. Stick-men fighting Stick-man Ninjas, Stick-man Superheroes, etc… but then one of us drew Beatrice showing up, and it sent us both into a hysterical laughing fit. Which was also part of the point of doing them. The same concept is used with the comic SHaLK that Scott Hall and I do. Just more “advanced”. Most of the time, I’m just trying to see if I can get him to laugh. (it’s also meant to push each of us to draw… but, with sometimes real YEARS between pages, I’m not sure how well that part of it is working… I digress..)
I don’t know if this is spoilers, since this is an idea for a book I haven’t even drawn yet, but Beatrice is the monster who destroyed Baujahr’s planet, forcing him and his brothers to wind up in Levi’s World in the Baujahr comic. (oh yeah… Baujahr also has brothers. Spoiler? Lol) That comic never had a proper “beginning” and I keep meaning to draw one some day…
So, this “commentary” got way off the rails… Stay tuned for more Levi’s World!
